Advantages of Waterless Coolants over traditional water based coolants
Eliminates Overheating
Hawk Waterless Coolants have a higher boiling point, greater than 180°C, compared to traditional water based coolants (around 108°C) with a 50/50 mix. Hawk Coolants won’t freeze under normal environmental conditions removing the need for antifreeze additives.
Prevents Corrosion
Water promotes corrosion and can lead to electrolysis in the cooling system. Waterless coolants eliminate these issues because no water is present. This extends the life of engine components such as; radiator, water pump, hoses, seals and cylinder head.
